GAR 208 New Design 6564 entered our program this year as one of the top-selling bulls of the Gardiner Angus Ranch spring sale. Here is another bull we have added to our program that combines so many traits well: excellent birth to yearling spread, good scrotal, adjusted IMF score of 7.52 (ratio 155), adjusted ribeye area of 14.6 (ratio 104), adjusted rib fat .22 (ratio 76) and adjusted rump fat .19 (ratio 56). "6564" is in the top 1% of the breed for IMF, $W, $G, $B and Milk. This sire is known for high-performing females; his paternal grandsire for marbling and calving ease. His paternal grandam, GAR Precision 1639 is ranked No. 9 among proven dams for Ribeye Area EPD. Phenotypically, "6564" is a very eye-appealing bull and has maintained his condition very well this summer despite record breaking heat and heavy use. We expect "6564" to be a very maternal bull producing excellent females. But we also expect him to produce bulls that can be used on heifers and cows whose offspring will have good weaning and yearling growth and will have the genetics to perform in the feedlot.
